brick workshop – strathclyde

The first project we are working on in our architecture studio is designing a facade of a structure in the town of North Berwick, Scotland.  This small seaside town sits on the east coast approximately 30 minutes from Edinburgh and we are to design this facade using only brick as our main material.  To understand how brick works, the class took a trip to a local brick manufacturer and were able to build our different ideas, ask the experts and just have a good time.  Here are some shots.
